Follow the below steps to set up.

Navigate To: Set up > User > Users > Parameters

Set the “AUSHDKA” After-sales emplyoee equal to “Yes”.

Now select the user as employee on Service response screen.

Go To: Customer Relation > Customer support > Service response

In Sage Enterprise Management, there may be a requirement where you want to update the price coming from grouped price lists. ‘RECHGROUP’ entry point is used to intervene in the three types of modifications carried out by the grouped price lists.

Line modifications: The value 1 in the variable [M] GRPFLG (line no.) signifies that a modification has taken in place on this line.

Modification of the invoicing elements: The grouped price lists can modify the contents of the invoicing elements (see the Calculation basis paragraph by the document in the price list structure).

Creation of the grouped price list lines:

If the search delivers the free products, the data necessary for the creation of the lines are contained in the following grids:

– FOCITMREF Product reference

– FOCUOM Sales unit

– FOCQTY Quantity

– FOCMOTIF Free product allocation reason

The free lines are not yet created. Setting the GPE variable to 1 makes it possible to cancel this creation.

This entry point is used during the automatic generation of a sales document line (quote, order, shipment, invoice) coming from coming from a BOM breakdown or the generation of a free item from the price list search (normal or grouped).

It is located at the end of the generation of the line and is used to insert additional logic in order to complete the creation of this line.

Concerning the generation of a BOM, it is used to insert additional logic after the read of the BOM detail and the creation of the component line to complete the creation of this component line.

Syntax:

Standard Processing: TRTVENBOM

Entry Point Action: ALILIG

It is called in interactive from the management of the quotes, orders, shipments, invoices each time that a product of the type BOM parent product or kit parent product or that the price list search returns a free item (normal search or grouped search).

We have come across the requirement where excel data needs to be refreshed on the basis of Sage X3 data. This can be achieved with the below steps.

We will need Sage addin available in the Microsoft Excel, this addin will link the data with Sage X3 database.

If you will have Sage Addin available, this will display “Data Source” icon with server location with the IPADDRESS of Sage X3 Server.

On the click of Data Sources, you need to enter UserID and Password of Sage X3 which will pop up to the Data Sources.

Next is Predefined Data Sources, we will need to define the End Point, Data Source and hit on the apply button as shown below.

In Sage Enterprise Management (Sage X3), we may come across a scenario where we have lot managed product and everything but not we get blank data in the traceability screen. This functionality can be achieved by the following steps:

Navigate to: Common Data → Products → products → Controls tab

For displaying product in the Traceability screen, the product should be, the stock managed, Lot managed and Traceability field should be set as ‘Detailed Traceability’ or ‘Summary Traceability’. Refer below screenshot:

You may come across the situation where you have printed the report while creation of any transaction.

Consider an example for the same i.e we need to print the report “BONCDE2” while creating a purchase order to do so we have to go to the entry transaction of the purchase order and check Auto Print check box and select the report code into the document.

You may come across the situation where you need to use grouped pricing in Sage Enterprise Management.

Navigate to → Setup → General parameters → Values → VEN

Set the Value of ‘Group price management’ as ‘Yes’.

Now the Price list type Grouped will be used for sales transactions.

Sometimes while creating/writing to a file we might need to write values from a field in a grid but through a table and not by looping through the grid and the values would be written sequentially in a fixed number of fields in a single line in the file and assigning blank values to the fields in the file if the number of lines in the grid is less than the number of fields in the file. For example, if the number of fields in the file is 5 and the number of lines in the grid is 3, then the 4th and the 5th field in the file would be blank. So refer the below code snippet-

Where,

[F:XYZ] is the required table.

ABCNUM is the required field.

“;” is the separator.

We may come across a scenario where we want to give a free product on a particular product. We can achieve this feature by doing the below configuration.

Let’s say ‘FIN014’ is a parent product and on this parent product user want to give the same product for free if the criteria match with the price list. Follow the below steps to achieve this:

Navigate to Set-up > Sales > Price lists > Setup (Price/Free tab)

In this tab select the ‘Same product’ option from a dropdown of ‘Free product’ field and save the price list. Perform the validation of the price list.

Now navigate to sales > Price lists > Price list entry

Set a price list as shown above. Free product will be added in sales order as per setup defined in price list set up.

Now create a new sales order with product FIN014 and after creation, a free product will be added on the sales order as shown below:

In Sage Enterprise Management, as you know we have a special function to print the reports. To print a report, we need to enter the values in report parameters. In case, there are multiple parameters and you want to print the report for same parameters in future then instead of entering all the parameter values again you can save these parameters and recall them whenever you require.

There are two functions for the same.

Memo: It saves the parameter values.

For example, if you want to print Sales order report “ARCCLIENT” for perticulare parameters which you want to use in future too then follow below steps:

Navigate to : Reports > Reports > Reports
Enter report code and parameter values.
Click on “Memo” button. Refer below screenshot.

Enter memo code of your choice and click on OK.

The parameters are saved in “Test” memo.

Recall: It recalls the saved parameter values(Memo)

To recall saved parameters, follow the below steps:

Click on “Recall” button below “Memo” button.
Enter your memo code. The saved parameter values will be displayed.

In Sage Enterprise Management, we may come across a scenario where we want the same data line while doing duplication of any transaction but the line is getting blank. This functionality can be achieved by the following steps:

Navigate to: Common data → Products → Products → After sales tab

Check product type and service contract field, if our product is service contract base then change it to ‘OTHER’ or anything else except ‘Service Contract’ and also keep the service contract field as blank.

There might be a situation where we would need to read a file and extract a variable length amount from a line. So, consider an example string/file line- “abcdef1122,52pqr”.

Here the amount which we need to extract is “1122,52”.

Refer the below code snippet-

Here,

First, we find the position of “,” and store it in a variable YCOM.

Then, we extract the amount from its starting position which in this case is 7 to the postion of “,” plus the number of decimals there are going to be which in this case is 2, therefore YCOM+2.

Navigate to: Time Management → Leave-Absence → Absences →Global Creation.

Period from and Period to:- In the period from and period to select the release date range.

We have come across the requirement where you need to call Third Party REST services from Sage Enterprise Management. This can be achieved with the below steps.

Create a REST API inside Sage X3 with the using the REST URL and the authentication credentials under Administration | Administration | Rest Web Services.
