Sage Enterprise Intelligence is an intuitive business intelligence solution integrated with the Sage business management system that helps business users spend less time analyzing and reporting, making faster, more informed decisions. It provides all users with a simple solution for self-sufficient access and analysis of data, eliminating the need for disparate tools and expertise and reducing decision-making time.
There might be possibilities where there would be a need to add images in the columns or as columns for referencing products or for products in price lists along with their descriptions in a data model. Here is a way that is simple and convenient to achieve the same.
Following are the steps to add image as columns in SEI view:
Step.1: Create a data model in SEI, as shown in Fig.1. Choose the table having image files to be displayed as a column in SEI view. Here, we have chosen some BLOB image file and product from ERP database.
Step.2: Select the images files as well as product field and other fields from the table to be displayed in the SEI view.
Step.3: The key is to select the format of image field as ‘Raw image’ or else images will be displayed in Base 64 or URL format.
Step.4: For selection of format, hit ‘Format’ button from image field. After clicking the button, you will see the blow screen, as shown in Fig 2.
Step.5: After selecting image format click on OK and save the data model.
Step.6: Now, you have to create a new view from the respective data model, from the new view screen. For adding image field, click on ‘dimension and measure’ button and drag and drop image files and product dimensions in column-row as shown in Fig 3.
Step.7: After putting both the fields in column, data will get displayed along with image and product name will get displayed, as shown in Fig 4. Below, images related to products from Sage X3 are added as columns using category worksheet view. Images can also be referenced from stored Binary Large Object (Blob) or URL link data.
Hovering over the image would display an enlarged pop-up of that image as shown in Fig 5.
Adjustment of size can also be done in each row using worksheet properties and grid content.
These product references can also get exported when sharing the worksheet view.
By using the above method you can add images in columns of SEI views.
