How to Validate Postal code Field in Sage x3

In Sage X3 we can enter the Postal code on the addresses of entities as Company, Site and all the BP entities (BP, Prospect, Customer, Supplier, Carrier and Sales rep). In Sage X3, we can manage the entered postal code by verifying with existing postal code. Kindly follow the below steps to enable this validation.

  1. Navigate to: Common data > Common tables > Countries
  2. Select the country for which you want to verify the Postal code.
  3. Select the checkbox “Postal code control”. Refer below screenshot.

This field is used to manage the community code and to verify the existence of the postal code.
If the user enters the postal code which is not defined in X3 then it will show a message stating ‘Non-existent Postal Code’ refer to the below screen shot.
