We have come across the requirement where excel data needs to be refreshed on the basis of Sage X3 data. This can be achieved with the below steps.
We will need Sage addin available in the Microsoft Excel, this addin will link the data with Sage X3 database.
Sage Addin, Data Source
If you will have Sage Addin available, this will display “Data Source” icon with server location with the IPADDRESS of Sage X3 Server.
On the click of Data Sources, you need to enter UserID and Password of Sage X3 which will pop up to the Data Sources.
To define the Predefined data source
Next is Predefined Data Sources, we will need to define the End Point, Data Source and hit on the apply button as shown below.
To Declare the Endpoint and DataSource
On the selection of Data Source, you will have the list Menu items available for selection as shown below.

On the Hit apply button from data source, you will see the data in the below format and every time you refresh the data, it will execute the query in the background and will bring the updated data as shown below.
