Sage ERP X3 provides a feature for restricting shortage delivery even if suspense transactions are allowed for a product. To achieve this, follow bellow steps.
Navigate to setup->general parameters->parameter values->Inventory->Miscellaneous -> Details
New Stuff:Limit number of columns or fields loaded from tables during read or write instructions
Set the value as “No” for SHTDLV parameter.
For a product, allow suspense transactions as shown below.
As an example, let’s create an order for the above product with quantity more than that of stock quantity. Proceed to create delivery for the order. You will see that the user will not be allowed to create a delivery with a shortage in quantity. Below message will be displayed to the user.
